Ø  Gladiolus commonly known as “sword Lily” produce long spikes of numerous colors including white, pink, red, purple, Orange and green.
Ø  It is native of South Africa & The Mediterranean.                                                           
Ø  propagated by Corms
Ø   Suitable for all type of soils well aerated and well-drained.
Ø   8-10 hrs Light requirement
Ø  pH; 6-7.
Ø  Highly salt sensitive.
Ø   N,P,K; 2:2:3
Ø   Irrigation; 3-4 days before sowing and then twice or thrice a week as per requirement.
Ø    Summerà April-July.
Ø   Winterà Jan-March , Sep-Dec.
Ø   Planting Density;  6-8cm                                 
Ø  Corm Depth; Autumnà 5-10 cm
                              Springà 10-15 cm
Ø   Harvesting; Commercial à 1st Color breakup
